Blackberry Way


I've been reading some mailing list posts that have indicated the tribute to Nilsson in the middle of this song. How could I have missed this given the huge number of times I have heard it?

For those of you who also haven't noticed it, the 'ooh-wa ooh-wa' section in the middle of Blackberry Way is a borrow from Good Old Desk the Nilsson song. Obvious when it's pointed out.

If you don't have any access to anything by these guys then get yourself a Move best of or if you want a bigger whack then seek out Movements a 3cd box of their first 3 albums and miscellaneous tracks. For Nilsson you're looking at a reasonably sized and very varied catalogue but thankfully (almost) all his albums are available as 2 on 1's. Get almost anything released between Pandemonium Shadow Show and Son Of Schmillson and you're in for delights. Once you've bought all of those then you may as well buy the rest of his albums, though after Son Of... they get somewhat spottier. Good Old Desk, by the way, is on Aerial Ballet.
